Danny Howell, CLU®


Danny Howell is the proud owner and founder of Howell Financial Group. Dedicated to providing businesses and individuals with insurance and benefits solutions, he teaches his clients how to coordinate their corporate and personal benefits in order to create a sound approach to their financial strategy. Danny works with a variety of clients, including business owners, nonprofits, young families, and executives, and enjoys partnering with them to create a customized approach to meet their needs and transition into retirement. Above all else, Danny wants each of his clients to achieve their financial goals. Understanding insurance and investments can be very complex; Danny’s goal is to make the process simple for his clients.

Prior to beginning his career as an insurance agent, Danny graduated from Southern Methodist University (SMU) with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Economics. He began working as an agent with New York Life shortly after graduating from SMU and became a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®). Then he founded Howell Financial Group in order to enhance the customization of the financial approach, specifically for small and medium size businesses.

Danny is a life and qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table* (MDRT), and achieved Top of the Table Honors from 2010 to 2019. He is a member of the National Association of Financial and Insurance Advisors (NAIFA), as well as the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU).

When Danny is not meeting with clients, he is an active member in his community of North Dallas. He spends his free time with his wife, Gina, and their three children, Arden, Jake, and Grant. Danny’s favorite hobbies are being outdoors with his family and friends.

Sam Benefield

Associate / Agent

Upon starting his career with Howell Financial Group, Sam wanted to work with clients on a personal basis and be face-to-face with people. He knew he wanted to be helping clients, and the personal aspect of working at Howell Financial Group is one of the things he enjoys most. Sam specializes in working with individuals and small to medium size businesses to create holistic solutions to financial plans and employee benefit packages.

Sam holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics, and has been working for Howell Financial Group since the completion of his degree. Sam is a member of the National Association of Financial and Insurance Advisors (NAIFA). He has extensive knowledge with both group and individual insurance coverage, and has the capability to build solutions for a wide variety of clients.

On any given Saturday, you can typically find Sam with his family rooting for the Baylor Bears in whatever sport may be in season.

Rebecca Baldridge

Account Manager

Rebecca serves as an account manager on our Group Benefits Service Team. She partners with small group accounts to help them navigate their path to success in regards to their group insurance and employer-sponsored benefits. Rebecca has more than a decade of experience in the insurance industry and is Life, Accident, Health and P&C Licensed. She also holds a degree from the University of North Texas. She enjoys coming to the office to help our clients grow their business while making strategic decisions that benefit their own team.

Rebecca lives in Richardson, Texas with her family and supports her two teenagers in band, sports and other various activities.

Michael Haefner

New Business Manager

As Howell Financial Group’s New Business Manager, Michael has an instinct to learn about and serve our clients. Working primarily with the individual side of our group, he coordinates with clients to help them understand their personal finance and insurance needs in order to help them achieve their goals. Michael has an eye for detail and a desire to excel at serving each of our clients.

Michael graduated from the University of Louisville with a BSBA in accounting. While in school, he was a member of the Louisville Swim and Dive team. Currently, Michael is training for several triathlons and other endurance races. He and his wife, Ally, enjoy spending time with their daughters, Makayla and Braelynn.

Jake Howell

Assistant Account Manager / Marketing

Jake serves as a part of the Group Benefits Service Team, while also creating and initiating various marketing plans to help our clients have the most seamless and efficient experience possible. He has a desire to help clients understand their insurance and benefit plans and how they are able to coordinate them with one another.

Jake graduated from the University of Missouri with degrees in marketing and economics, and is a proud Mizzou Tiger. He and his wife, Claire, now live in Dallas, Texas.

Tina Langford

Benefits Specialist

Tina is a chief problem solver when it comes to helping clients with their insurance and benefit coverage. Having worked in the insurance industry for forty years, she has thorough understanding of benefit plan interpretations, regulations and guidelines for each type of plan that we service to our clients. Tina works as a member of our Group Benefits Service Team.

Tina lives in Wylie, Texas with her husband Gary and enjoys gardening and DIY projects at home. She is a proud mom of three, now grown, kids.

Barb Nelson

Account Manager

Barbara is the longest tenured member of our Group Benefits Service Team. She serves our clients by presenting them with solutions for events such as open enrollment, claims, and works closely with the rest of our team to coordinate plans accordingly. Barbara is passionate about the teaching aspect of servicing our group accounts. With over 25 years of industry experience, and extensive knowledge of plan coverage and strategy, she consistently builds relationships with clients that return year after year.

Barbara, a graduate of Berkner High School, has her roots set in North Texas. She and her husband, Jason, spend their free time traveling to see their kids and grandkids.
